Corsby – Fatal car accident in US 90

Authorities were called onto the scene following a report of a car accident on Lord Road and U.S. 90 east, reports say.

According to the police, the collision happened at around 8 p.m. on Sunday. A horse rider was attempting to cross the busy Highway 90 when he got struck by a passing vehicle. The rider and his horse were pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as Richard Wright.
One of the passengers of the suspect vehicle was injured from the crash. The other passengers were not injured.
No charges have been filed at the moment. Investigators are still determining if the horse panicked while crossing the highway or the conditions of the freeway played a role in the accident.
