Corpus Christi – Two-Car Crash on South Padre Island Drive

The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating a two-car accident on South Padre Island Drive (SPID), last Monday, December 23rd.
According to the initial investigation, the incident occurred at around 12:00 p.m. on SPID. A sport utility vehicle was seen traveling along the roadway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a red sedan. A few moments later, another vehicle that was passing the road was not able to avoid the previous crash and hit one person involved.
The person, whose identity has not been released, sustained undisclosed injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he received further medical attention. His condition was not immediately released. Police said he was driving one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
An investigation is underway.
