Corpus Christi – Rollover Collision on Ocean Drive

The Corpus Christi Police Department is conducting an investigation about a car accident on Ocean Drive last Tuesday morning.
According to initial reports, the crash was reported at around 11:40 a.m. A vehicle was seen traveling along Ocean Drive near Elizabeth Street when it entered the intersection on a red light. The said car then collided with a pickup truck that had just entered the intersection. The impact of the collision caused the pickup truck to overturn on its side.
An occupant in the truck had to be extricated by local emergency crews using the Jaws of Life. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he received proper medical care. His identification has not been released at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
