Corpus Christi – Rene Ramos Died in Fatal Two-Car Crash on Interstate 37

50-year-old Bishop man has succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the car accident on Interstate 37 in Annaville, Saturday night.
According to police, the tragic accident happened a few minutes after 11:00 p.m., on Interstate 37 near Rand Morgan Road. A vehicle that was traveling at an unsafe speed crashed into a sedan driven by 50-year-old Rene Ramos. The impact of the collision seriously injured Ramos. He was rushed to a Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital where he was pronounced deceased the next day.
No one else was injured.
The speeding driver, identified as Grayson Salas, 18, was arrested and charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $255,000.
Investigators are on scene to gather more evidence.
