Corpus Christi – Man Died after Motorcycle Crashed on SPID

A 25-year-old man was pronounced deceased after his motorcycle went out of control on South Padre Island Drive in Corpus Christi, last Friday.
At around 6:00 p.m., a motorcycle had been traveling along SPID near Ayers Street when it attempted to switch lanes and went out of control. The impact then sent the operator off his motorcycle and landed on the roadway. A few moments later, the motorcyclist was then struck by a passing vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
Authorities did not release information about the driver who struck the motorcyclist.
No one else was injured.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of the motorcycle reportedly accelerated when he changed lanes which caused him to lose control of the bike.
