Corpus Christi – Head-on Collision on Highway 181 Leaves 2 Killed

At least two people were pronounced deceased after a fatal two-vehicle accident on Highway 181, also known as Harbor Bridge, early Saturday morning.
At around 2:00 a.m., police officers responded to Harbor Bridge in response to a call reporting a head-on crash near Port Avenue. A pickup truck was heading north along the southbound lane of the highway when it collided head-on with a small SUV. The impact of the crash was so great, leaving both drivers with significant injuries. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, both victims had already succumbed to their injuries.
The pickup truck driver was only identified as a man in his 40s while the SUV driver was identified as the woman in her 30s.
Corpus Christi local officials arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. No charges have been made at this time.
