Corpus Christi – Girl Hit by Bus on Texan Trail

An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized after getting hit by a school bus while crossing Texan Trail, Wednesday.
According to police reports, a girl was walking along the sidewalk when, for some unknown reasons, she walked right into the street and into the path of a bus. The driver of the bus was not able to stop on time, striking the pedestrian in the process.
The force of the impact left the victim with head wounds. She was given onsite medical treatment before being rushed to Driscoll Children’s Hospital where she is expected to fully recover.
Fortunately, the students who were onboard the bus during the time of the incident was not injured. But, authorities said they “were shaken by the incident” and “was in shock.”
No words on the condition of the driver.
An investigation is underway.
