Comal County – Woman Died in Fatal River Way Collision

A woman was pronounced deceased after a deadly rollover crash on River Way in Comal County, According to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Based on a preliminary investigation, a vehicle was heading south on the roadway when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, it went out of control after approaching a curve. It then overturned a number of times before coming to rest.
The driver of the vehicle sustained unknown injuries and was rushed to University Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. He was identified as Anthony Vitrano, 52, of Spring Branch. His passenger, identified only as a 58-year-old female resident of Midland was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two more passengers were hurt but their injuries were considered only minor. It was not confirmed if they were taken to a hospital for treatment.
DPS is still investigating the cause of the accident.
