Colorado County – Joyce Brown Struck and Killed on I-10

Texas Public and Safety Officials have released the name of the woman who died in a fatal pedestrian crash on Interstate Highway 10 near Columbus, last March 27th.
The fatality was identified as 75-year-old Joyce Brown.
At around 4:30 a.m., police were dispatched to I-10 after they received a report of a pedestrian collision involving an 18-wheeler truck. According to the report, a female pedestrian was walking in the westbound outside lane of the highway when a passing 2011 Freightliner truck hit her. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the victim, Joyce Brown, suffering from fatal injuries. She then succumbed to death a few moments later.
The driver of the truck did not suffer from injury. It was not clear if he will be charged due to this unfortunate incident.
The investigation continues.
