College Station – Toddler Fatally Struck by Car on Texas Avenue

A little girl was pronounced deceased after being hit by a vehicle in a mobile home park on Texas Avenue in College Station, Sunday afternoon.
According to College Station police officers, local troopers were dispatched to the Woodway Mobile Home Park at 3031 Texas Avenue to assist in an auto versus pedestrian accident. Police said that an undescribed car struck a two-year-old girl who was playing in a private driveway. The child sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. She was rushed to the nearest hospital where she succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with CSP officers. He told the investigators that he did not notice the girl.
No citations have been issued as authorities gather more information about the incident.
