College Station – DUI Crash on Texas Avenue

A vehicle accident involving a drunk driver resulted in the injuries of two people on Texas Avenue near Lincoln Avenue, Saturday.

Last February 15th, police received a report of a crash involving a reckless driver. An undescribed vehicle was reportedly traveling along Texas Ave when it suddenly drifted into the path of another car. One of the vehicles was pushed off the roadway and crashed into a sign display nearby. As a result, both drivers of the cars involved suffered from injuries that were considered non-life-threatening. Responding officers did not confirm if they were rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, the first driver was taken into custody on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was later identified as 29-year-old Gabriel Velazquez.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
