College Station – Auto vs Pedestrian Accident Injures Child on Texas Avenue

A pedestrian crash on Texas Avenue resulted in injuries of a child in College Station, Tuesday morning.
According to the reports, the incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Texas Avenue near Southwest Parkway. A pedestrian was reportedly pushing a stroller across the cross street when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle. The impact of the crash left the infant in the stroller with injuries. He was rushed to a nearest medical facility where he was treated for his injuries that were considered non-life-threatening. His condition was not immediately released.
No one else was injured.
Police did not confirm if the driver of the SUV or the person pushing the stroller were harmed. However, they said that the pedestrian was cited for disobeying a pedestrian control device.
