SPRING, TX – Colleagues and fellow educators paid tribute to the Link Elementary School principal who died in a car accident last Friday, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Justin Jones, 34, joined Link Elementary in 2017 after working as an assistant principal and instruction coordinator in Houston ISD.
“We are deeply saddened by Justin’s passing,” said Spring ISD Superintendent Rodney Watson. “He was a caring leader, devoted friend, loving husband and father, and we are all devastated by this loss.”
Jones oversaw the program that improved the school’s TEA accountability score from a dismal 64 for the 2017-2018 academic year to a strong 88 in 2018-2019.
“He will truly, truly be missed,” said Link assistant principal Tangy Stith. “He was just a fantastic person.”
