Coleman County – Rollover Collision on FM 1929 Leaves 1 Dead

A fatal single vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 1929 took the life of one person, late Monday evening.
Just before 12:00 midnight, the Department of Public Safety responded to FM 1929, eleven miles south of Voss, after receiving a notification reporting a crash. According to the report, a Ford F-250 pickup truck had been traveling along the southbound lane of the road when it suddenly veered to the right to avoid a deer appeared at the middle of the road. The pickup truck drifted into a side skin and overturned, ejecting its driver in the process. The driver, identified only as a 64-year-old Paint Rock man, was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
A passenger in the Ford, also from Paint Rock, sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo. She was listed in critical condition.
Local authorities arrived at the scene to determine liability. The crash remains under investigation.
