Clovis – Driver Died in Fatal Vehicle Collision on State Road 77

At least one person was pronounced deceased after a car accident on State Road 77 near Curry Road, early Saturday morning.

At around 4:30 a.m., Curry County local officials were dispatched to State Road 77 in response to a call reporting a crash. According to the initial investigation, a vehicle was traveling along the roadway when it drifted off the road for yet unknown reasons. The car then overturned after landing into a ditch. The impact of the crash killed the driver instantly. He was only identified as a 21-year-old man.

Fortunately, no one else was injured.

The Clovis Police Department also arrived at the scene to determine the reason why the driver veered from the roadway. An investigation is in progress.
