Child pedestrian hit, hurt by driver on Ash Meadow Dr in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A child was struck and injured by a vehicle late Tuesday afternoon in northwest Houston’s Ponderosa Forest neighborhood, according to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable for Precinct 4.
Constables responded to the scene in the 1800 block of Ash Meadow Drive, in a residential area near Ponderosa Elementary School, shortly before 4:43 p.m.
No information has been disclosed on the circumstances behind the incident, but authorities confirmed the young victim received treatment from EMS crews at the site. It was unclear whether or not the child required transport to a hospital.
