Child pedestrian hit, critically hurt by vehicle on FM 2100 in Crosby

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — An 11-year-old child was critically injured Monday evening in a pedestrian accident on Farm to Market Road 2100 in Crosby, reports Click2Houston.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred in the 17500 block of FM 2100, southeast of Newport Elementary School, at about 6:05 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but the child was rushed by airlift to a local hospital in critical condition.

Authorities said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with responding deputies.

No further details have been released, but an investigation was underway.
