Child hit by SUV while walking to bus stop in north Harris Co.

HARRIS CO., TX – An 8-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after she was struck by an SUV in north Harris County this morning.

According to a report by ABC 13, the child was hit at about 7:45 a.m. while walking to the bus within the 14300 block of Ella Boulevard, near Kuykendahl Road.

Police say the girl ran across the roadway outside of a designated crosswalk when she was hit. The driver involved said she didn’t even see the child.

The girl was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. We will provide any further updates, should they be released to the public.
