Cherokee County – Rear-End Crash on US 69

At least two people were hurt after getting involved in a vehicle collision on US 69, October 8th.
According to the report, an Oncor truck was traveling along the northbound lane of US 69 when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it rear-ended a vehicle that was attempting to pull into a driveway nearby. The impact of the collision injured both drivers of the truck and the car. They were immediately transported to a local hospital where they received medical treatment. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed at this time.
Authorities withheld the victims’ identifications pending notification of their next of kin.
The Cherokee County officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Further details will be released.
