Carjacker crashes vehicle minutes after theft near Jacinto City McDonald’s

JACINTO CITY, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – A carjacker crashed near a McDonald’s in Jacinto City a few minutes after stealing a vehicle Friday night, according to KTRK.
The theft happened at a McDonald’s located at the intersection of Sheldon Rd and East Fwy at about 10:30 p.m.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene of the crime, but crashed into a ditch on Market Street a few minutes later.
He attempted to run away, but was detained by a Harris County Sheriff’s deputy.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
