HOUSTON, TEXAS – According to The Houston Chronicle, a car containing a child passenger fell off the North Freeway on the night of Thursday, May 21.
Around 10:30 p.m., two cars were reported to be street racing on the North Freeway near Little York Road. A pickup truck carrying a child along with two other cars swerved out of the way to avoid the street racers. The three vehicles then crashed into one another, which caused the pickup truck to fall off the highway and onto Little York Road down below.
The child and her father were rescued from the fallen vehicle by Good Samaritans that witnessed the accident. The child’s mother was rescued from the car from the emergency personnel that arrived at the scene.
One of the other vehicles involved caught on fire after the crash. The street racers fled the scene after the accident. If you have information about the street racers, contact HPD.
