Car slams into church in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A car slammed into a church in southeast Houston on Monday, according to ABC 13.
The car crashed into New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, leaving thousands of dollars in damage. The driver fled the scene of the accident but was later found and detained by authorities. Authorities are working to determine whether or not he was drunk at the time of the wreck.
