Car fire delays traffic on W. Sam Houston Tollway

HOUSTON, TX – Major delays were reported following a vehicle fire in east Houston this morning.

According to Total Traffic Houston, the fire was first reported at about 10:45 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, near the I-10 interchange.

It is unclear what may have sparked the blaze at this time. However, at least two right lanes were blocked as a result.

No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash. Delays were reported in the area going back to Hammerly.
