Cameron – Two Hospitalized in FM 1600 Vehicle Accident

At least two people were sent to the hospital following a major collision on Farm to Market Road 1600, Monday.
According to the initial report, a tractor trailer was seen heading south on FM 1600 when, for yet unknown reasons, it struck the rear side of a semi-truck. The impact sent the tractor to overturn, ejecting its driver. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the tractor driver suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple where he received proper medical treatment. Meanwhile, the driver of the semi-truck was given treatment for minor injuries. He is expected to recover.
No one else was injured.
Cameron local officials are still determining the factors that may have contributed to the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
