Callahan County – 22-Year-Old Man Who Died in Fatal Interstate 20 Crash ID’d

Law enforcement officials have identified the man who was killed in a deadly collision on Interstate 20 last week.
The fatality was identified as 22-year-old Casey Dylan Rachal. He was a resident of Natchitoches, Louisiana.
According to initial reports, Rachal was driving a 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck along the eastbound lane of Interstate 20 when it struck the rear side of a Freightliner that was towing a trailer. Police said the Freightliner was merging into the left lane when Rachal failed to slow down and crashed into the semi-truck. The impact of the collision killed Rachal instantly. He was pronounced deceased by responding officers.
Fortunately, the driver ofthe Freightliner was not hurt. He was identified as 62-year-old Marcus Clyde Humphrey, of Peoria, Ariz.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
