CUT AND SHOOT, TX – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle while he was attempting to help a victim of a hit-and-run car accident on State Highway 105 early this morning, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
The collision occurred on SH-105 and Carmen at about 6 a.m., as the driver of a Nissan Altima crashed into the side of a white Dodge pickup truck while making a left turn. The impact sent the pickup truck into a nearby ditch.
The driver of the Nissan then ran from the scene on foot.
A driver of a passing Chevrolet pickup stopped to assist the victims of the crash. As the man, a Conroe resident, was out of his vehicle the driver of a green 2000 Toyota Tundra crashed into the Nissan, which caused it to rotate. The driver swerved, then collided with the bystander.
The bystander was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was in stable condition.
