Brookeland – Two-Car Accident on US Highway 96

Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a vehicle accident on US Highway 96 near Farm to Market Road 1007, a local news source reported.

Police were dispatched to FM 1007 after the received a call reporting a crash involving a passenger vehicle. Based on the report, a small SUV was traveling along the roadway when it crashed into the passenger vehicle at the said cross street. As a result, a driver of the vehicles involved sustained undisclosed injuries and was rushed to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment. His condition remains unknown at this time.

Police did not specify if both drivers were sole occupants at the time of the accident.

Area investigators were also requested at the scene to determine liability.
