Brady- Head-on Collision on Highway 87 Sends One to Hospital

At least one person was taken to a hospital following a fatal car accident involving a truck on US Highway 87 North, early Monday morning.
At around 3:25 a.m., Brady firefighters responded to the scene of the crash on US 87. According to initial reports, a red pickup truck collided with an 18-wheeler truck. The complete details of the incident remain unclear at this time but it was confirmed that the driver of the truck was rushed to a hospital via ambulance with injuries that were considered non-life threatening. No words on whether or not the driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries from the force of the impact.
Local investigators were requested at the scene to determine the cause of the accident. Melvin Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety also arrived to assist in the clearing.
