Boyd – Woman Airlifted to Hospital after Solo-Car Crash on TX 114

A Lewisville woman sustained serious injuries as a result of a crash on Texas 114, west of Boyd, Wednesday morning.

According to initial reports, the incident took place at around 10:30 a.m. on Texas 114 near County Road 4690. A 2004 Ford Ranger pickup truck was seen traveling along the westbound lane when, for reasons that had not been determined, it went off the roadway and traveled through a drainage culvert. The pickup truck then overturned a number of times and landed on its side. Police said the vehicle ended up in the south barrow ditch.

The driver of the vehicle sustained unknown injuries and was flown by a medical helicopter to a Fort Worth hospital for treatment. She was only identified as a 37-year-old Lewisville woman.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The Boyd local authorities are conducting an investigation.
