Boyd – 37-year-old Woman Hurt in Solo-Car Accident on TX 114

A female driver was hospitalized when her vehicle ended up in a ditch on Texas 114, west of Boyd, Wednesday morning.

Police said the incident happened just after 10:00 a.m. Shatorreia Stafford, 37, was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger along the westbound lane of Texas 114, near County Road 4690, when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, she drove off the roadway and crashed into the south barrow ditch. The Ford continued on, traveled through a drainage culvert, and came to rest on its side.

Stafford sustained significant injuries as a result of the crash. She was flown by a medical helicopter to a Fort Worth hospital for medical treatment. The extent of his injuries remains unclear at this time.

The Boyd Police Department is still determining what caused Stafford to veered off the roadway. An investigation is underway.
