Bowie County – Fatality Identified Following Crash on Moores Lane

The elderly man who died in an auto versus pedestrian crash on Moores Lane near Richmond Road has been identified, a local news source reported.

Last Wednesday night at around 6:15, police responded to Moores Ln following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian. Responding officers said a man was attempting to get to the other side of the road when a vehicle, heading west, struck him. The victim was seriously injuries and was declared deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. He was later identified as 89-year-old Perry McKee.

No one else was injured.

The Texarkana Police Department said they are still investigating the case. They did not provide information about the driver involved.
