Bowie County – Elderly Man Died Following Pedestrian Crash on Moores Lane

A fatal pedestrian crash on Moores Lane caused the death of one person, last Wednesday.

According to the initial investigation, the incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. on Moores Ln near Richmond Road. An 89-year-old man was seen crossing the roadway when a car heading west struck him. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the found the pedestrian suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Texarkana police officials were requested at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site. They did not provide much information about the driver of the vehicle involved.

No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
