Bonham – Man Struck by a Vehicle on FM 273

An auto versus pedestrian accident on Farm to Market Road 273 took the life of one person, early Monday morning.
According to a local news source, the incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. along FM 273. A man was seen walking along the road when he was hit by a southbound vehicle as he was attempting to cross the roadway. The pedestrian, identified only as a 71-year-old man, suffered from fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identification has yet to be released pending notification of his immediate family.
Authorities did not confirm if the driver of the vehicle involved sustained injuries or that if he remained until they arrived.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
