Blacked-out stop light causes fatal crash in northwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A passenger was killed following a collision caused by a blacked-out stoplight in west Houston early this morning.
According to ABC 13, the incident was reported at about 5:20 a.m. at the intersection of Blalock Road and Campbell Road.
Police say both a Toyota Carolla and a Chevrolet Silverado ran through the disabled light and collided.
A front-seat passenger in the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear if any other individuals were hurt in the crash.
