Big Spring – John Lyons ID’d Victim of FM 700 Crash

The Big Spring Police Department has released the name of the man who died in a fatal collision on Farm to Market Road 700, last week, March 24th.
The fatality was identified as John Lyons.
Initial report shows that John Lyons was standing outside a stopped vehicle along FM 700 when a passing car struck him. The impact of the collision seriously injured Lyons. He was pronounced deceased by responding crews. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She was identified as Lindsey Woods.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the pedestrian was with a patrol officer. It was not clear if he was involved in a previous crash.
