Big Sandy – James Samuel Cabaniss ID’d Victim of River Road Crash

A 27-year-old man was pronounced deceased after getting involved in an auto collision on River Road near Big Sandy, a local news source reported.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatality was later identified as James Samuel Cabaniss.
Cabaniss had been traveling along the roadway when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and crashed. The impact of the collision seriously injured Cabaniss. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital but, unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Based on the initial investigation, Cabaniss’s vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed when it failed to negotiate a curve and drifted off the road.
