Big rig strikes 2 vehicles, overturns on I-610 in Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A major big rig collision caused major delays on I-610 in Houston early this morning, NTV Houston reports.

The accident occurred at about 12:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate, along the Ship Channel Bridge.

Witnesses told police the 18-wheeler collided with two vehicles before slamming into the guardrail and overturning.

The truck driver was rushed to a nearby hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Police believe the other vehicles involved were racing prior to the crash.
