Bicyclist killed in east Harris Co. hit-and-run

HARRIS CO., TX – A bicyclist died Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle in east Harris County, according to Fox 26 Houston.

The accident took place at about 11:45 a.m. within the 14100 block of the East Freeway, near Victorson Avenue.

Sheriff’s deputies believe the unidentified cyclist was in the westbound lanes of the freeway when he was fatally struck from behind.

The driver fled the scene before authorities arrived. No arrests have been made as of this writing.
