Bicyclist fatally struck by driver in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A bicyclist was killed Monday night in a collision with a vehicle at a southeast Houston intersection, reports Click2Houston.
The fatal incident took place in the 5500 block of Sunbeam Street at Martin Luther King Boulevard shortly before 7:24 p.m.
Houston police confirmed the victim died from their injuries at the scene.
The driver was not injured and spoke to authorities after the event.
It is unclear at this time whether or not the driver will be charged.
An investigation remains underway.
