Bicyclist dead, woman facing charges following alleged DUI hit-and-run

HOUSTON, TX – A woman is facing charges after she allegedly struck a bicyclist in a fatal hit-and-run collision on Galveston Road yesterday morning, according to KTRK.
The accident occurred in the 12400 block of Galveston Road at about 8:15 a.m.
A 60-year-old man was working on his bicycle near the side of the roadway when he was allegedly struck by the driver of a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. The driver then fled the scene.
As authorities were investigating the fatality crash, the driver was stopped by another officer after nearly colliding with them.
37-year-old Crystal Reyes appeared to be under the influence at the time.
She is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid.
