Fort Bend – Man Died Following Lum Road Crash

A fiery crash on Lum road resulted in the death of a 19-year-old driver, according to local officials.
Police said the accident happened at the 900 block of Lum Rd when a vehicle went out of control while traveling along the roadway. It left the road, crashed into a tree, and caught fire. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found a male occupant suffering from fatal injuries. He was declared deceased by local paramedics. His identification was withheld pending notification of his immediate family relatives.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and charged reckless driving and criminally negligent homicide. He was identified as 19-year-old Lee Cruz Trevino, Jr.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
