Belton – Auto vs Pedestrian Collision on Interstate 14

Belton law enforcement officials are currently investigating a car accident on Interstate 14 near Nolanville Hill, Monday morning.
Just before 8:00 a.m., police officers were dispatched to I-14 in Belton following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian. Initial investigation shows that a man was reportedly walking along the roadway when a passing semi-truck struck him. The victim, who was identified only as a male pedestrian, died as a result of the injuries sustained from the impact.
Whether the driver remained at the scene or not remains unclear at this time.
Anyone who has witnessed the incident is encouraged to get in contact with Belton local police. The investigation is still in progress.
