Bellmead – Michael Macy Struck and Killed by a Car on Bellmead Dr

Bellmead law enforcement officials have identified the victim who died in a fatal pedestrian accident on Bellmead Drive last Sunday night, reports said.

The fatality was named as Michael Macy. He is a 62-year-old resident of Bellmead.

According to reports, Macy was seen crossing Bellmead Drive near Lone Star Tavern and Steakhouse when an eastbound vehicle struck him. The impact of the collision was so great, leaving Macy with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with local troopers. He was only identified as 19-year-old resident of Belmont. Police said that criminal charges against him are not likely.

An investigation is underway.
