Bell County – 36-year-old Jesse Uhrig Dies Following Car vs. Train Crash on Highway 95

Bell County law enforcement officials have identified the victim who died in a fatal car accident on Highway 95 in Bell County, Thursday morning.
The fatality was named as 36-year-old Jesse Uhrig. He is a resident of Temple.
According to reports, the crash happened at around 11:00 a.m near Mills Lane. A 2007 Ford Escape was heading east when it went into the path of a train, prompting a collision. The driver of the Ford, Jesse Uhrig, was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
Fortunately, none of the 177 passengers onboard the train sustained injuries.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the accident.
