Beaumont – Victims Injured in a Head-on Collision on State Highway 105 Identified

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the name of the driver and passenger who were injured in a collision on State Highway 105, Sunday evening.
Just after 8:30 p.m, a head-on collision was reported on State Highway 105 near Tram Road in Jefferson County. A preliminary investigation shows that a 2008 Nissan passenger vehicle was heading west on SH 105 when it crossed the center divider and collided with a 2005 Ford pickup truck. The Nissan overturned a few times, trapping the driver inside.
The Nissan driver, identified as 30-year-old Timothy Edwards of Dayton, had to be extricated from the wreckage by local firefighters. He was rushed to CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth along with his passenger, identified as Tammy Kennedy, 21. They were listed in serious condition.
Fortunately, the driver of the Ford was not hurt. He was identified as 43-year-old Derek Petree of Beaumont.
