Beaumont – Victim of Highway 90 Auto Crash ID’d

The Beaumont local officials have released the name of the man who died in a fatal vehicle accident on Highway 90, a mile west of Jefferson County, last October 4.
The fatality was identified as George Robert Baldree, 61. He was a resident of Beaumont.
Initial reports say that the incident took place at around 7:30 a.m. on Hwy 90 near Keith Road. According to police, Baldree was operating a Ford Fusion along the southbound lane when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, it crashed into a westbound pickup truck. The pickup truck reportedly struck the driver’s side of the Ford, killing Baldree in the process.
Based on a preliminary investigation, Baldree failed to yield right of way and pulled into the path of the truck.
Texas DPS Troopers are still investigating the exact factors that contributed to this fatal accident.
