Beaumont – Steve Hardy ID’d Following Pedestrian Collision on Fannett Drive

Beaumont law enforcement officials have identified the male pedestrian who got hospitalized after getting struck by a vehicle on Fannett Drive, Tuesday.
The injured victim was identified as Steven Hardy, 37. He is a resident of Lumberton.
According to initial reports, Hardy was trying to pick up debris from a previous crash that took place near the intersection of Fannett Drive and Cardinal Road when he was struck by a Buick LeSabre that ran a red light. The impact of the collision left Hardy with various injuries. He was transported to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth hospital with a serious head injury and cuts to his hand and knee. He is expected to recover.
Police did not release information about the driver of the LeSabre.
No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
