HOUSTON, TX – A tow truck driver is facing manslaughter charges following a crash in northwest Houston that led to the death of a baby and the hospitalization of a woman this morning.
According to KTRK, the crash occurred in the 6600 block of Cunningham Road and W Little York Rd at about 10:15 a.m., as the driver of a Nissan sedan was stopped at a red light. The Nissan was then struck by the driver of a tow truck.
An unoccupied sedan being towed by the truck then flipped over and landed in a nearby ditch.
A baby boy between four to seven months in age was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The child’s mother was also hospitalized in undisclosed condition.
