Axtell – Belinda Sanabria and Matias Sanabria Medoza Killed in State Highway 31 Collision

The Department of Public Safety has identified the victims who died in a fatal car accident on State Highway 31, early Saturday morning.
The fatalities were identified as 55-year-old Belinda Sanabria and 50-year-old Matias Sanabria Medoza. They were both from San Antonio.
At around 3:00 a.m., local troopers responded to major collision on State Highway 31. According to initial reports, a Hyundai passenger vehicle was traveling along the eastbound lanes when it collided with a GMC SUV that was heading on the opposite directions. Police said that the GMC entered the intersection on a red light, prompting a collision.
The occupants of the Hyundai died from the injuries sustained from the force of the impact. Meanwhile, a passenger in the GMC sustained injuries and was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest in Waco.
An invetsigation is underway.
