Authorities release memo on fatal wreck on South Gessner Road

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Houston Police have released a memo regarding the fatal wreck on South Gessner Road that was reported on Wednesday, June 10.
According to the press release, an unidentified 85-year-old man was walking on Candle Street and attempting to cross South Gessner Road when he was struck by the driver of an unknown vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene.
The victim was killed upon impact. Anyone with information about the wreck is encouraged to call the HPD Hit-and-Run Unit at 713-247-4072.
